About the COSM Program
The Certificate for Occupational Safety Managers (COSM) is a 40-hour course that builds strategic and leadership-level knowledge in safety management. To qualify, participants must have at least two years of safety, health, or environmental work experience.
The curriculum focuses on high-level safety responsibilities and includes:
- Essentials of safety management
- Strategic planning and evaluation
- Risk management and safety finance
- Communicating the safety message
- Injury management, incentives, and discipline
Live, Online Format
The COSM program is delivered live online over five full days via Zoom. Sessions are instructor-led and include interactive elements and daily assignments. Alliance Safety Council provides all course materials and credentials.
As an ATP, Elite Training of Louisiana promotes and facilitates access to this elite-level training. When participants register through our unique referral link, we earn a portion of the course fee—supporting our goal of raising the bar in safety leadership.
